1: Hikari Shinshu WHITE MISO
Miso soup/ Mix to make dressing, dipping sauce, graze.
Mild, less salty and sweeter.
Colour: Pale yellow
Made with rice and soy bean. Higher percentage of rice koji creates sweetness. All purpose.
2: Marukome RED MISO
Miso soup/ Grill, braised meat/ Tofu
Deep and rich umami flavour with saltier taste.
Made with soy bean and fermented longer period than white miso, which gives it a more intense flavour than white miso.
Many high end sushi restaurants choose red miso for their miso soup.
3: Maruman SAIKYO MISO SAUCE
Marinate fish & meat for Saikyo yaki grill. Not suitable for miso soup.
Taste: Sweeter, mild
This is Pre-mixed miso sauce for especially for 西京焼き(Saikyo yaki = famous recipe for MISO COD FISH)
Easily marinate the fish (meat) overnight and grilled in oven (or bbq it)
