You cannot talk about Japanese food without Rice.
But, do you know how to cook perfect Japanese white rice?
Here is step by step guide!
Wash the rice. Use tap water to wash for 3 - 4 times.
Do not need to wash until the water is crystal clear. Bit of crowdy water is totally fine.
- Pour water up to the mark on the rice cooker. - mineral water is recommended!
( If 1 cup of rice, pour water up to line of "1" )
Basic ratio is 1 (rice) : 1.2 (water)
Soak the rice for 30 minutes.
You can get best results from soaking for 30mins!
If you are soaking over night to cook next day morning, please keep it in chiller.
- Start cooking.
- Allow it to steam extra 10mins when finished cooking. - Do not open the cover yet!
- Once steaming is completed, stir the rice like remove it from the bottom of the pot.
