Hishiho (Hishio) Miso, also called Moromiso Hishiho Miso, is a traditional Japanese barley miso paste fermented and aged in cedar tubs. It delivers a deep, savory flavor with natural sweetness and rich umami. This is similar to the Korean Doenjang which is also very popular as a dipping sauce / meat marinates in Korean cuisine.
