This is a chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg) seasoning that can be easily cooked in the microwave (or steamer) using just one egg.
The authentic soup stock uses grilled chin, bonito flakes, sardines, and shiitake mushrooms. The ingredients include shrimp, mitsuba leaves, and shiitake mushrooms.

How to Prepare Chawanmushi (Japanese Steamed Egg)
- Beat 1 egg thoroughly until smooth.
- Mix seasoning: Dissolve Chawanmushi no Moto in 130ml water.
- Combine: Add the beaten egg into the seasoning mixture and stir gently.
- Pour evenly into 2 heat-resistant containers and cling wrap the top.
- Steam over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
