Teriyaki sauce is a household staple in many Asian homes. Originating from Japan, it’s made from soy sauce, ginger, sugar and sake. Teriyaki sauce is also a key seasoning ingredient in everyone’s favourite yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) sticks, giving the delicacy its iconic sweet-salty flavour – guaranteeing a lip-smacking finish.

Storage Instructions: If unopened, store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigerate once opened.
How to use: Use for chicken/ fish or in Chinese stir fry.
Alternatively, prepare Yakitori:
- Apply teriyaki sauce on meat. Amount of teriyaki sauce should be 20% of meat (eg. 100g of chicken requires 20g of sauce).
- Using a pastry brush, baste the cooked skewered chicken generously with the teriyaki sauce as its finishing touch.
